This charming children's book tells of the adventures of the Tin Tans: kitchen utensils who come alive when their human owners aren't around. Candlesticks, kettles, teacups, clocks, and more each get their own rhyming stories, all of which are lovingly illustrated with comic scenes. The book, originally printed in Bavaria, even includes the music for the Tin Tan Band for children to play along to. Other Tin Tans, however, are more mischievous, and some of the stories at the end take a more sinister turn, as was common in turn-of-the-century children's books.
